Zaskoczył mnie dzisiaj “mały pożar”, gdy wracałem z festiwalu kultur w Mississadze (foty z tego – jutro). Okazało się, że to polonijny sklep z meblami płonie jak pochodnia. Czy go ktoś podpalił, czy to wypadek, nikt jeszcze nie wie. Wiem jedynie, że śmierdze jak ognisko.

Hi, i dont understand why you would prefer the Toronto Star to publish an image in black and white, they are a world class publication and manipulating an image to make it appear more dramatic breaks the photojournalism code of ethics.

Changing colors to black and white is not really manipulating an image. Photojournalism was based, and still continues to be based on black and white photography. James Natchwey for example is still photographing in monochrome. B&W photography is not as much distracting and helps to concentrate on the image (beauty) rather than a picture (representation).
